This video is effective because if the viewers have watched the anime they would understand the video perfectly. If the viewer has not watched it, in the comments I've seen "what's the name of this anime?". The song fits with the anime pretty well although the anime is not based on war the lyrics resembles parts of the anime. For instance, in the beginning of the video they show the Vongola family(protagonist group) depicted as "the good" and the Millifore family(antagonist group) as "the evil". The scenes they used match up with the lyrics, such as, the part where they say "the lier, the honest" the creator put the most dishonest character and then the most honest character in the series. The video editor did an excellent job at running through 203 episodes to find the right scenes to put this all together, and timing the video with the audio at the right time. If it was generated from traditional media, I believe that this would have not been made unless they would profit from the video or the video would generate more viewers for the show.
P.S. Am I aloud to share one more?!? It was so hard to choose a video!
P.P.S. I'll just post links if your interested in any of these:
- Clannad - A Walk to Remember <== Based on a movie trailer
- Maplestory - It's Missin' a Mouth <== Based on the anime Axis Powers Hetalia
- Harry Potter - This is War <== Movie music video
Comments on classmate's posts
- Enjoyable...and most definitely never going to be produced in traditional media. The true wonders of the web is being able to post these videos!
- Tragedies are not my thing but traditional ending are getting old. Happy endings could have a tragedy, I still loved Titanic even if the ending was...dare I say too dramatic for me. It's still one of the top movies I've ever seen.
- I remember this it was a brilliant video with little budget! Not millions of dollars that Hollywood spends for movies. This is a true work of art.
